EMMANUEL OWOYEMI

Emmanuel O. Owoyemi, is a product of Delta State University, with B.Sc. in Economics. He holds a Doctoral degree in church growth and ministry from the International Institute for Church Growth.

He is also a graduate and an alumni member of The Institute for National Transformation. He has received training in Mental Health Leadership and Advocacy at a WHO supported collaborative programme between the University of Ibadan {Dept of Psychiatry} and the University of Melbourne Australia. He has also undergone training in grief and trauma counseling.
He is a member of the National Mental Health Stakeholder Council; and the National Mental Health Action Committee, constituted by the Federal Ministry of Health. He is also the National vice coordinator of Mental Health Leadership and Advocacy Stakeholders Forum. He is the President of the Mental Health Stakeholders’ Initiative. The Chief Executive Officer of Mental Health Foundation, Nigeria, an affiliate member of the World Psychiatric Association. He is a Human right crusader, and a member of the British Council, Human Right Information Network, HURINET. He is an Alumni of PAN-ATLANTIC UNIVERSITY EDC/SSM4, having completed a course in Social Sector Management.
He presides over Souls Reapers International Missions, a missionary organization working in rural communities with the aim of taking the gospel to unreached People and Places.
He is a seasoned and charismatic Pastor-teacher, a prolific writer and guest speaker in many churches, conferences, conventions, campuses, with many years experience in missionary activities.

He is a missionary and community health development worker, who by his commission ministers to those who are depressed and mentally ill. Having the vision of seeing:

“NIGERIA FREE FROM NAKED WALKING PEOPLE. TO SEE IMPROVED MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES AND MENTAL HEALTH SYSTEM; WITH HIGH LEVEL NATIONAL PRODUCTIVITY THAT CAN MATCH ANY ECONOMY IN THE WORLD.”

He is actively engaged in the production and distribution of health-aid materials on mental, emotional, and general health tips, like FIGHTING STIGMA, EXPLAINING MENTAL HEALTH, and DEPRESSION.

He is married with children.

Dr. Owoeye Olugbenga Adekile is a consultant Psychologist and Clinical Psychiatrist, Clinical Psychologist at Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital Yaba, Lagos.

He obtained his MBCH Bachelor  of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Obafemi  Awolowo University in 1994 and Masters in Clinical Psychologist from University of Lagos in 2003.

He is a Fellow of National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria and member of Chartered Institute of Arbitration in Nigeria. He is a lecturer and examiner at the National postgraduate medical college of Nigeria. He is a researcher and has over ten publications to his credit. A clinician per excellence with interest in drug addiction management and rehabilitation.

John O.B. Agbaje

Mr. Agbaje is a 1983 graduate of Business Management from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria and the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, London.

He began his postgraduate work as Accounts and Administration Manager in Adeyemi Pipeline Services Ltd, an engineering outfit in Lagos in 1986 and proceeded to Merchant Banking Corporation in 1988 as Administration Supervisor where he rose to the position of head, Administration and Personnel department.  At his request and in pursuit of a chosen career, he was moved to Accounts Department as Deputy Head from where he was promoted to the position of pioneer head of Domestic Banking Unit in January, 1993.

He joined Cotecna Inspection September in 1993 as Commercial Executive with responsibility for administration, Personnel and Accounts, following the expansion of the company’s operations in Nigeria in 1999, was promoted to the position of Finance and Accounts Manager.  In 2002, he worked briefly with Raitas Consulting Ltd as Accounts and Project Manager and later worked with Petroleum Projects International, an International Oil trading company based in Lagos as the Financial Controller.
Mr. Agbaje has been involved in a number of re-organization and operational restructuring.  He joined the services of GRID Consulting Limited in 2005 and has been serving as Consultant/Head, Finance and Administration.

The trustees meet annually and as when necessity demands to consider the activities of the foundation, to review, formulate and adopt new policies of the organization.

They are a group of volunteers formally invited to serve as our Advisor to help fine tune the policies and activities of the NGO for practice and to remain focused. They meet constantly as the needs arise.

Prof, Oye Gureje NNOM

Oye Gureje, MBBS, MSc, PhD, DSc, Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (UK), Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, Fellow of the National Postgraduate Medical College and Fellow of the West African College of Physicians.

 

He is Professor and Head of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Ibadan, an Honorary Consultant Psychiatrist at the University College Hospital, Ibadan, Nigeria, Director, WHO Collaborating Centre for Research in Mental Disorders, Substance Abuse, and Neurosciences, Department of Psychiatry, University of Ibadan.

 

He is also an Honorary Associate Professor, Department of Psychiatry, University of Melbourne, Australia. He is the current President of the African Association of Psychiatrists and Allied Professionals. He was until recently the World Psychiatric Association Zonal Representative for West and Central Africa.Trained at the Universities of Benin, Manchester and Ibadan. He has been a consultant to the World Health Organization in various capacities since 1990 and is currently a member of the International Advisory Group for the Revision of the ICD Chapter on Mental and Behavioural Disorders. He is an active researcher. He conducted the largest national survey of mental disorders in Nigeria in which four major Nigerian languages were used and is currently conducting the largest survey of ageing in Africa. He has published over 200 journal articles, book chapters, and reviews. He is widely cited and according to the Institute of Scientific Information, he is among the topmost 1% cited scientists in the field of Psychiatry/Psychology in the world. His main areas of research interest include the epidemiology of mental disorders, including that of dementia and schizophrenia, and studies of mental-physical comorbidity as well as of ageing.

 

Professor Gureje has traveled and delivered invited lectures in many countries on all the continents of the world.

In 2008, he was conferred with the highest national award for academic achievement, the Nigerian National Order of Merit, for his contributions to Medicine, by the President of Nigeria.

Associate Professor of Educational Administration and Head of Department, Department of Educational Administration and Planning, Faculty of Education, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife Osun-State, Nigeria

Dr. Dupe Adelabu holds a doctorate degree in Educational Administration. Dr. Adelabu is an Associate Professor of Educational Administration at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. She has published several articles in national and international journals. She has co-authored some books on education and also contributed to several books on education.

She is Management Consultant, a Fellow of the Institute of Policy and Gender Studies of Obafemi Awolowo University. Dr. Adelabu is a consultant to the World Bank, the DFID, the Universal Basic Education Commission, Nigeria.

She has been involved in various consultancy works on Education, Gender and Policy Related Issues at National and International levels. She has served as resource person for UNDP, UNICEF and UNESCO on various educational issues. She was once a board member of National Teachers Institute. Nigeria

Sam Adeyemi

Reverend Sam Adeyemi was born to the family of Chief and Mrs. S. B. Adeyemi on February 3, in Niger state, Nigeria. He hails from Yagba – West LGA of Kogi state. He attended Government Secondary School, Ilorin and Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti where he obtained his National Diploma; He also attended Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin where he graduated with Higher National Diploma (HND) in Civil Engineering.

Samuel Adesanya Adeyemi is the President of Success Power International, a Non-profit Organization that among other things specializes in organizing financial, leadership and motivational seminars. He is also the Senior Pastor Daystar Christian Centre, a fast growing, life changing church based in Lagos and President of Daystar Leadership Academy, a leadership school for top business owners and ministers of the gospel.

Sam Adeyemi is the presenter of the popular radio program – Success Power. He sits on the Board of Directors of a number of organizations.

He has authored several books including the best selling Parable of Dollars, others include “Ideas rules the world”, “Power of persistence”, “Strong Desire”, and Power of Imagination.

The Director, Women Ministries of Daystar Christian Centre and the President of Real Women Foundation, a motivational and healing ministry for women, Pastor Nike also runs a rehabilitation centre for prostitutes and women in distress.

Reverend Sam and Pastor Nike are blessed with three lovely children.

He has done several correspondence courses and other self-study programs in various fields of learning that puts him way ahead of his contemporaries.

To date, it has serviced over 5000 young Nigerians. He founded the organization in 2007, following training in Mental Health Leadership and Advocacy at a WHO supported collaborative programme between the University of Ibadan {Dept of Psychiatry} and the University of Melbourne Australia.

(OWO) who was born May 15, 1960’s, is a graduate and an alumni member of The Institute for National Transformation; a member of the National Mental Health Stakeholder Council; an ad-hoc affiliate member of the World Psychiatric Association. He is a Human right crusader, and a member of the British Council, Human Right Information Network, HuRINet.

Head Ante-natal Department (R Jolad Hospital, Lagos, Nigeria) Feb 1999 – 2003.Overseeing the outpatient department which included the  antenatal unit, postnatal unit and immunization unit, and developing protocol for the management of HIV positive pregnant women and babies and liaising with support group for counseling.
